Excitement!!

I am so excited lately!

It's almost Christmas. That means it's almost stocking time. I have always LOVED opening my stocking. It always had presents falling out of it. We each ended up with one cushion from the couch instead of just what can fit in the stocking itself. Good thing: Aaron LOVES stockings too! (And, a little secret, he's good at hiding money in it! =))

My brother, Xan, will finally be coming home from his mission. January 6th. He's been serving in Las Vegas for the last 2 years. Man have I missed him! He is our little nerd and he can and will do most any favor you ask him to. (You might have to ask a bunch of times...but he'll do it!) We aren't sure exactly when he's coming...apparently mom hasn't received the flight information due to her being homeless...I guess it's a good thing he'll call at Christmas!

My sister, Niki, will be coming to visit on January 7th so she can see Xan too. Too bad she can't bring Millie with her!! Then, Niki will have a baby shower on the 9th...it's about time---she's already had the baby! =) Kidding. Who would have thought Millie'd be here already?

We bought Ellie, Aaron's niece, something she's going to love. We can't wait for her to open in on Christmas morning. She's going to be in heaven. I'll have to take a picture. She's too cute.

Since Niki and Xan are coming, we're celebrating Christmas as a family on January 8th. Xan will be forced back into the real world with a lot of family time and holidays!!

AND my birthday will be on the 9th. I'll have most of my family here. (Not Tutu and Rara...they'll still be in Hawaii for Tara's wedding...)

Unfortunately, school will start back on the 4th, but I'm enjoying the break while I can! Good news: my "difficult" student is no longer in our class. So Aaron doesn't have to worry about me getting hit, cussed at, or constantly disrespected any more...by him... More good news: my sick leave days can start March 16th so I only have to last a few more months!! =)

Whew!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

How sad are our lights?? Everytime we drive up at night Aaron laughs. He says "well there's no much point in putting up anymore at this point!" or "Look how pathetic our house looks!" We just say next year...=)

FINALLY we are decorating for Christmas in the Dunnam house! Our first year with our own house!! Man, apartment decorations look a little sparse in a house. Our house is not grand by any means, but it feels WORLDS bigger than our one bedroom apartment we lived in for 2 1/2 years!

I am so proud of our tree. I have had this idea in my head for 2 years now and was just waiting to purchase the right decorations for it (on clearance...after Christmas, of course). I still haven't made the tree skirt I really want to for it--it's all made of ribbon and THAT is expensive!

Confession: I am quite addicted (when Aaron's not home) to MANY blogs out there with fabulous crafting and decorating ideas. That's where the wreath idea came from. It doesn't matchy match our tree but we're working on a budget here! Maybe I'll find some more fabulous "rainbow" decorations this Dec. 26th for next year! =)
