3 Years and Counting...

Yesterday we "celebrated" our 3rd wedding anniversary. I use the term "celebrate" loosely. Remember we got married on black Friday in 2006, so our anniversary is always around Thanksgiving. Our 1st anniversary we celebrated in Florida by going to Animal Kingdom with my brother, Xan. Our 2nd anniversary we celebrated at home before we went to my Dad's for Thanksgiving with Aaron's niece Ellie.

This year I had school and Aaron had work. I did buy him "breakfast" by having Peanut Butter Captain Crunch and Fruity Pebbles (two of his favorites) and a fresh gallon of milk. I leave for work before Aaron even gets up in the morning. Then, after a long day of work we met up--went to McDonalds (nice dinner, huh?) and I rode over with him to a 2nd job. Aaron laid tile until 1:30 am while I ended up sleeping on their couch. (Luckily it's some friends of ours' house.) Fun night, wouldn't you say?

Something else happened exciting and definitely dramatic...baby Millie was born! She is 16 weeks early...weighs 1 pound, 4 ounces and is 11 inches long. She was trying to come for almost 4 days! Niki's doing well and Millie seems to be okay. It will take a couple of days for testing and observation to see. She is twice as early as I was and weighs almost 4 times as much as I did. I am no longer the miracle baby in the Knudsen family!

I am so happy to be married to Aaron for 3 years and can't wait for 1,000 more! We have such a nice life now---we have a cute house (that constantly gets better) and are SO excited to begin our family together with this baby girl that's cookin' in my oven. Aaron is very caring and patient with me. He always takes care of me and wants to make sure I have everything I need and want. He is a wonderful husband and I am a lucky girl!!

Bring on the explosives!

One of our fireworks

Travis getting the finale ready

We had a BUSY day on the 4th!  It started WAY too early with babies crying all night long for their bottles.  We babysat Rachael's 7 month twin boys the night before and it sure interrupted our sleep alot! =)

Then, we got up at 7am to get ready for the ward breakfast activity.  We ate, visited, and Aaron played a few games of badmitton, volleyball, and baseball.  (Check out Aaron's outfit for the day in the pics.  He picked it out himself and was SO excited to wear it!)

After buying paint for our hopefully new house and hanging out with some family and friends we headed over to the fireworks party spot.  Several families got together at a friend's house to cook out and bring on the explosives.  There was several hundreds of dollars of fireworks.  From the kid friendly ladybug (my pick) to the roman candles and sparklers.  Then, once it started even REMOTELY getting dark--the big boy fireworks came out.  Man, our husbands were so excited and kid-like!  I will admit, they were some impressive fireworks for it just being a home party.  Aaron even ended up burning his thumb and a hole in the lighter he was holding.  He's the hulk...he think he's invincible like him, too.

The night ended late with a special blue light special.  On our way home we got pulled.  Apparently Aaron didn't move over a lane when someone was being pulled over in the center lane and jerk-of-the-year wanted to make sure we knew it.  Oh well.  It was just warning.  Oh, by the way, if you ever move--make sure you change your address on your license ASAP because "it only takes 2 minutes on the internet".  That's all I'm saying...

We all enjoyed the 4th!  I'm pretty sure I know two men that are going to be scouting out the fireworks stands for clearances---just for an excuse to play more.  I'll keep you posted!

A Surprise Visit

I got an unexpected phone call this week---one of my best friends from college, Karla, called asking what I was doing this weekend. She and Ryan were going to be in town for a conference and wanted to meet up! We ate a scrumptious dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and then walked the mall a little. Of course this was the PERFECT time to take my MacBook into the Apple store. I was expecting to get a new battery switched out for my dead one that didn't even last a year (long story about the batteries my computers gone through) BUT they wanted to have my computer looked at longer so I had to leave it. ANYWAYS, I found an old picture of Karla and I and thought I'd share it. I definitely looked better back then. =)

It was GREAT to see you, Karlita and Ryan! Thanks for spending time with me!! I love you!

Ruby Tuesday

Ruby Tuesday.  That can explain it all right there.

We went to Florida to stay with my aunt while Aaron painted her house.  Ruby was so funny--she thought we were the best thing since sliced bread!  She would get mad at her mom for playing with us in her room...(Ruby said she always sees her..."she's been here for 800 years"...) or if her mom picked her up or woke her up in the morning when she wanted me too.  (Side note:  she used to SCREAM like crazy if I tried to hold her and would be so attached to her mom...so it was fun that she liked me better for the few days!)

Well, on Tuesday, Aaron and I took her out (to the mall) while her mom and brothers were at scouts.  She LOVED every minute of it!  We went to Build-a-Bear and got a picnic basket for her bunny, she picked out new kicks for Aaron (she is the fashion queen!!!), played on the mall playground, and best of all we took her to eat at Ruby Tuesdays---now she thinks it's HER restaurant!  =)

We miss her already!  Ruby, you are definitely one of a kind---we LOVE you!
